In many instances, Clients proceed with contracts without the need for the appointment of a Design Team of Architects and Engineers. These types of projects can be extremely difficult for Clients to manage from either a lack of in-house expertise or the non-availability of resources for such an undertaking. Without such in-house capability, the overseeing of a major project can be very difficult and there is a need to have the project controlled by a dedicated and experienced resource who will act purely in the interests of the Client.
Project Management includes the role of Client Representative but also includes the direct responsibility for the control and management of the Project. Any party with this responsibility must have sufficient and relevant expertise.
